Abstract: This research explores the impact of outdoor education programs in enhancing early childhood development and learning experiences in Nigeria. Objectives include assessing the impact of outdoor activities on physical health, cognitive skills, and socio-emotional development, examining educator perspectives on outdoor learning integration, and evaluating outcomes on children's environmental awareness and resilience. Utilizing a survey research design, data will be collected from ECE educators, environmentalists, and parents across Bayelsa State. The sample size of 210, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula, ensures comprehensive representation and statistical reliability. A case study approach will focus on ECE centers with successful outdoor education initiatives. The reliability coefficient score of 0.82 ensure data accuracy. Findings highlighted the benefits of outdoor education in ECE, offering insights into effective strategies for integrating nature-based learning into the curriculum. Recommendations emphasized outdoor curriculum development, teacher training, and community engagement to promote outdoor education as a fundamental component of Nigerian early childhood education.
